Chickenpox is an infectious disease that can cause tiredness; itchy blisters on the trunk, face, and scalp; and a low-grade fever. Caused by an infection with the varicella zoster virus (VZV), chickenpox is generally a mild disease in children -- lasting for about 5 to 10 days -- and it usually does not occur twice over the course of a person's life. But did you know that some people do die from chickenpox? Or that some people can get the disease twice?
